Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai is a primetime Indian soap opera that is currently airing every Monday-Friday on STAR Plus tv network. The series premiered on October 3, 2011.
The show is all about the two sisters Jeevika and Maanvi, who love each other enough to share their life and even breath. Originally set in Rishikesh, the story moves to Chandigarh after Jeevika's marriage to Viren.
Maanvi and Jeevika were raised by their parents in the upscale city of Delhi. However, they are orphaned in childhood. After they lose their parents, they settle into a middle class, traditional family of Rishikesh, which is a stark contrast to their lives earlier. They grow up stifling any demands they may have openly made earlier, and fit into a traditional mould.
